About Me.

Isabelle Dove is a movement artist using aerial rope and fabric to develop site-specific performances that explore the human experience, inviting audiences to connect more deeply with themselves and each other. Since discovering aerial arts in 2013, she has spent over a decade developing a practice rooted in vertical theory and fused with her background in yoga, modern dance, and ballet. Her studies in new genres and film at the San Francisco Art Institute are the foundation of her experimental approach, drawing from movement research and cinematic storytelling to create works that push artistic boundaries and bring forth our humanness through shared emotion.Alongside three other women she co-founded Dark Sky Aerial in 2015, a non-profit aerial theatre company specializing in site-specific work using harness dance, groundwork, and movement installations. She co-produces, directs, and performs in large-scale aerial theatre productions and experimental dance films that explore the edges of what aerial performance can be.Her work explores the relationship between body, apparatus, and space. She is based in Arizona and California, and has a dog named Ringo.
